April 29, 1996: TV Land, a 24-hour Cable Network devoted to Classic TV from the 1950s to the 1980s, is launched.
An all-night sneak peek is simulcast on Nick at Nite, & at 1 a.m. ET, the Premiere TV Episode of St. Elsewhere airs on Nick at Nite.
The following Saturday, May 4, 1996, and continuing until July 6, 1996, while St. Elsewhere reruns aired Daily on TV Land starting April 30, 1996 weekday mornings at 7 a.m. ET, Nick at Nite aired reruns of St. Elsewhere regularly Saturday nights at 11 p.m. ET as part of TV Land Preview, a weekly Saturday Night block only on Nick at Nite.
According to reputable TV listings, St. Elsewhere aired Saturday, May 11, 1996 at 11 p.m. on Nick at Nite.
Among other shows airing regularly on Nick at Nite as part of TV Land Preview included Cannon, Hill Street Blues, and Sonny & Cher.
